Left front of flat button. Right Back of flat button reads "Extra Strong Plated" with design. This button was found about 30-40 feet off the SW corner of the house between the two magnolia trees.
This button possibly made of pewter was found in the northwest corner of the field about 7" down. Its a small button, maybe a cuff button with a design engraved on the front and what appears to be the letter "G" carved into the back.
Another .31 caliber pistol bullet, this one found off the SW corner of the house just a few feet away from the button pictured above. This one also appears to be fired, but is mashed only on the back side of the bullet, not the front. I am not sure what causes this, my only thought is that it was fired into the ground and didn't hit anything other than dirt. |
My first "War Nickle" 1943 with the "P" Philadelphia mint mark. This coin was found just south of the magnolia tree at the edge of the flower gardens on the south side of the house. It was only down about 2-3 inches.
