I dug this bullet on the north side of the house just east of the large Sycamore tree, it was only about 4 or 5 inches down.
This appears to be a 31 caliber bullet, It's made of lead with three rings around it. The bullet is from the mid 1800's and would have been used in a gun much like the one pictured below, which was a very common gun at the time.

The bullet is about 10/32" wide and 18/32" long, I have no experience measuring bullets but these measurements are pretty close.
