Heart Pendant reads "LA Fiesta Queen Mrs. Mildred H. Lewis". Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Warner Lewis family from Warner Hall plantation in Gloucester VA. Gloucester is 15-20 miles from where I live. She graduated from William and Mary University in Williamsburg VA and moved to Southern California. LA Fiesta was a celebration in Las Angeles CA that rivaled New Orleans Mardi Gras, and Mrs. Lewis was crowned Queen in the year 1896. This made her somewhat of a local celebrity, and these pendants were sold locally in Eastern VA as well as in the state of California. I found this pendant outside my back door along the edge of the stone walkway about 10 inches down.
